These terms apply to purchases from the Start9 online store. The store is operated by Start9 Labs, Inc., a Delaware corporation.

These terms cover the sale of hardware and support memberships from this store. Four other policies form part of them, and you should read them before you buy:
- Warranty: https://start9.com/warranty
- Refund and return policy
- Shipping policy
- Privacy policy
They do not cover our software. StartOS, StartWRT, StartTunnel and the Start9 SDK are free and open source, and your rights to use, copy, modify and redistribute them come from their open source licenses, not from this document. Nothing here restricts those rights.
Placing an order is an offer to buy. The contract is formed when we dispatch your order, not when you check out. If we cannot fulfil an order, or if an item was listed at an incorrect price, we may cancel it before dispatch and refund you in full.
Prices are in US dollars. We charge taxes and fees required by the State of Colorado. We do not collect VAT or other import charges; if you are outside the United States, your country may charge import VAT, duty and a carrier handling fee on delivery, and those are payable by you. See our shipping policy.
Bitcoin payments are processed through BTCPay Server, which we run ourselves. Bitcoin payments are irreversible, so if a refund is due we send it separately under our refund policy.
The Start9 Support membership is a one-time purchase with no recurring fee. It is a commitment to help you, not a service level agreement: support is provided as our capacity allows, we do not guarantee a response time or a particular support medium, and "lifetime" means for as long as Start9 offers the Start9 Support programme. Membership is subject to our Community Code of Conduct.
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under law that cannot be limited by agreement. If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, your statutory rights — including the right to withdraw from a distance purchase, and the legal guarantee of conformity — apply in full regardless of anything written here.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules, and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply. This does not deprive a consumer of the protection of the mandatory law of their country of residence.
