Refund and Return Policy

30-day returns

You have 30 days from the day your order is delivered to ask for a return.

We sell computers, and we expect you to turn one on before deciding whether to keep it. Setting the device up, powering it on, and trying it does not affect your right to return it. What we need back is the device and everything that came with it, in a condition that reflects normal handling — not damaged, and with the original packaging where you still have it.

How to return something

Email support@start9.com and tell us your order number and what the problem is. Do not ship anything back before we have replied: returns sent without arranging it first cannot be processed.

Once we approve the return we send you a prepaid shipping label and instructions.

Refunds

We inspect the device when it arrives and email you either way. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method.

Card refunds usually take a few business days to appear, depending on your bank. Bitcoin payments are irreversible, so a Bitcoin refund is sent as a new payment to an address you give us, for the amount of bitcoin originally received.

European Union and United Kingdom

If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK you have a legal right to cancel a distance purchase within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason. That right is separate from, and additional to, the 30-day policy above, and nothing here reduces it.

You may handle and test the goods enough to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, exactly as you could in a shop, and still cancel. To cancel, email support@start9.com with a clear statement that you are cancelling. We will refund you, including standard outbound delivery cost, within 14 days of getting the goods back or proof you have sent them.

Damaged, defective, or wrong item

Check your order when it arrives. If anything is damaged in transit, defective, or not what you ordered, email support@start9.com straight away and we will make it right.

Warranty repairs are separate

If a device fails after the return window, that is a warranty matter rather than a return. See https://start9.com/warranty for what is covered and how a claim works.
